Climbing Pictures, links, etc.
Todd: Minimally. I've sort of body
surfed but I haven't stood up. I have an email account. I've gone to a couple
of pages, but anything I get to is pure luck because I don't have a browser
thing. I just type random words in the box and see what comes up.
RaG: Todd, you have a browser, but
what you need is a search engine. It's like a web page that will find things
for you. For instance, you type in "climbing" and it brings up
a list of climbing web pages.
Todd:Yeah. I guess that kind of thing
will really help. Thanks.
RaG: What do you think of an online
climbing mag?
Todd:I think it's an excellent idea.
For one thing, it's instant. If something happens, you can have it reported
by dinner time. With the print climbing magazines, you don't get news until
a month and a half later minimum. That's only if someone dies or a tower
falls over, and they can make last minute changes. It often takes up to
four months to get news by print, but online information can get posted
almost as it happens.
RaG: Did you just say you typed random
words in the box to find web pages?
RaG: Ever been online? Surfed the Web?
That kind of thing.
Zoe:No...no, I mean yes.
RaG: What do you think about an online
rock climbing magazine?
Zoe:Awsome...Killer....
RaG: Ever been online? Surfed the Web?
That kind of thing.
Ron: No. I'm still in the dark ages.
RaG: What do you think about an online
rock climbing magazine?
Ron: I think it's a great idea. Yeah,
it's a free country..... I mean, why not?
RaG: Ever been online? Surfed the Web?
Joe: Nope.
RaG: Emag:What do you think about an
online rock climbing magazine?
Joe: I think that'd be pretty cool
except I don't have access to computers. I live on the road so I have no
chance to actually see this action.
RaG:Ever been online?
Kitty:I don't remember.
RaG:Never surfed the web or anything?
Kitty:Oh.... no I haven't.
RaG:What do you think about an online
rock climbing magazine?
Kitty:That'd be fine.
RaG:Ever been online? Surfed the Web? That
kind of thing.
Scott:Not a heck of a lot. A tiny little
bit.
RaG:What do you think about an online
rock climbing magazine?
Scott:I think that's a heck of a good
idea. Online magazines are where it's at. Where it's happening.
RaG:What do you think about an online rock
climbing magazine?
Anon:An online climbing magazine is
the only kind of online climbing magazine there is.
RaG: Ever been online? Surfed the Web?
That kind of thing.
Robin:Yeah.
RaG:What do you think about an online
rock climbing magazine?
Robin:I think it's very interesting,
and I'd be very interested in participating. Just what you wanted to hear,
right?
RaG:Ever been online? Surfed the Web?
Mike:No, I don't have a surf board.
RaG:What do you think about an online
rock climbing magazine?
Mike:Uh, if I had a computer it would
be good.
RaG:Ever been online? Surfed the Web? That
kind of thing.
Lynn:I've not really accessed it myself
because I don't really have the set-up. I have a laptop, and I use it for
word processing. I'm about to get email, so that's a big step for me.
RaG:What do you think about an online
rock climbing magazine?
Lynn:I think that a lot of people look
at web sites. I hear about things that go on, and a lot of climbers do spent
time on computers. I think that it certainly could work. I'd be interested
to see what happens.
RaG:Ever been online? Surfed the Web? That
kind of thing.
Amelia:Oh yeah.
RaG:What do you think about an online
rock climbing magazine?
Amelia:A great idea, and the more interactive
the better.
RaG:Ever been online? Surfed the Web? That
kind of thing.
Jim:No.
RaG:What do you think about an online
rock climbing magazine?
Jim:I think it's gonna be cool. I gotta
figure out how to use it.
